The Sri Lanka High Commission regrets that it is not in a position to bear freight costs.
The Government will waive the relevant taxes/duties on the items listed in the attached Schedule, on a case by case basis, subject to the following conditions.
- For all relief material/equipment, the consignee should be the Ministry of Disaster Management, which will ensure distribution to the affected populations.
- Duty/tax waiver facility is valid only upto 30/06/2016.
- All consignments must comply with necessary requirements, regulatory and security clearances.
- Any items cleared by the Government under these concessions will not be sold, hired, leased, disposed or used for any other purposes.
